While there were rumors for quite some time that Katy Perry could be joined by BFF Rihanna for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, we now now who that name is.
Or at least, the name that it reportedly is.
Katy will hit the halftime show stage (alongside previously announced Lenny Kravitz) with none other than hip/hop master......
Missy Elliott!!!!
Katy has not confirmed that it will indeed be Missy, but did say this during her press conference:
“This is true. I have to keep some surprises for Sunday and I’m very, very excited about this guest because I thought long and hard about it and wanted to kinda bring someone back, like a throwback of sorts, that definitely needed some more shine,”
The Associated Press is reporting that Katy will indeed be joined by Missy.
Katy finished by teasing:
“When you hear the first ring of the chord,”
“I think jaws will drop and faces will melt.”
